Discover the new Haute Joaillerie necklace from Maison Mellerio: the Jardin Pierreries necklace imagined by Laure-Isabelle Mellerio, President and Artistic Director of Maison Mellerio.
Inspiration for the High-Jewelry necklace
Nature with a big «N» is a constant source of inspiration in Mellerio creations, and those who have had access to its heritage have all been impressed by the extreme beauty and delicacy of the Bouquet de perce-neige et feuillage front corsage dating from 1855, each delicate, flexible branch of which sparkles poetically with leaves reminiscent of Solomon’s seal. To take the spirit of the Maison and the power that jewelry can bring to the almost philosophical spirit of nature even further, down to the smallest stems and leaves adorning gold and stones alike, this year Laure-Isabelle Mellerio has created a high jewelry version of the «Collier Pierreries» collection.
The Jardin Pierreries necklace
The amethysts here are surrounded and sublimated by a parterre of plants forming a garden - a corolla of gold, diamonds and violet sapphires. The twigs dance on the female and male torsos, spreading out like a diadem around the neck. Our eyes are invited to embrace this garden of diamonds and colored stones, which illuminates the face of the wearer, or to look at this garden of wonders like an attentive landscape gardener, each branch of which has been imagined, paved or supported by a Mellerio Cut diamond, to magnify the violet color of this marvellous piece of jewelry. Like a walk through a garden, the different branches catch the eye with their variety of shapes: elliptical, lance-shaped, oblong or serrated leaves. The rose leaves respond to those of Solomon’s seal, and the stems move and position themselves to embrace the skin like a crown around the neck, without ever denying the magical, joyful spirit so dear to the Maison, particularly expressed in its creations of the last three years.
